Dal Dhansak :- Parsi Recipe
Ingredients :-
1/2 Cup :- Arhar Dal.
1/2 Cup :- Moong Dal.
1/2 Cup :- Chana Dal.
30gm :- Kasuri Methi.
3 no. :- Green Chillies. { Roughly Chop }
2 no. :- Onion { Thinly Sliced }
2 no. :- Tomatoes. { Roughly Chop }
2 Teaspoon :- Olive Oil or Ghee.
1 Tablespoon :- Lemon Juice.
Salt :- To Taste.
Water :- As require.

Ingredients for Dhansak Masala Paste :-
10 to 12 :- Garlic Clove.
4 to 5 :- Green Chilli.
1 inch :- Cinnamon Stick.
2 inch :- Ginger.
5 Clove :- Laung.
1 Tablespoon :- Corriander Seed.
1 – 1/2 Teaspoon :- Whole Black Peppercorn.
1-1/2 Teaspoon :- Cumin Seed.

Method to prepare a dish :-
1. Making the Dal Dhansak recipe we will first get all the ingredients ready
& then proceed to make Dhansak masala.

2. To make a Dhanksak masala grind all the ingredients
& add very little amount of water to make a smooth paste.

3. Soak all the three dals for about 30 minutes.

4. Once Soak , place all the three dals , kasuri methi along with one thinly sliced onion
green chilli & a teaspoon of turmeric powder in a pressure cooker. Add salt and
three cup of water , Cover the pressure cooker & cook on a full flame until you hear two
whistle then turn the flame slow and simmer it for 3 to 4 minutes.

5. Mash all the ingredients with potatoe masher until dal gets its smooth texture.

6. In a pan add some oil , add other thinly sliced onion & saute it
add chopped tomatoes & cook it very well.

7. Stir in the Dhansak masala paste & cook about 4 to 5 minutes.

8. Pour the mashed dal in masala & cook in a low flame about 10 to 20 minutes.

9. Squeezed the lemon juice & add chop corriander.
