Sourdough Loaf ~
This may be the best loaf yet!

I’ve baked a lot of loaves over the years but surprisingly never with a dutch oven. 😲 Say what?! Between the artisan mill flour and the new addition to the kitchen, Louie the Lodge (aka Dutch Oven), it culminated into one beautiful loaf. 😋
The chewy crust, hearty heaviness and moist inside was heavenly.
Louie the Lodge was a big hit and will get a lot of use in this kitchen! 🧡

Ingredients:
4 cups artisan mill flour
2 tsp sea salt
1 ¼ cups warm water
1 cup sourdough starter 👩‍🍳
Instructions:

Warm up Louie (aka dutch oven) for 30 minutes at 450F.

Then reduce the temp to 430 for baking the bread.

Mix ingredients & knead for 10 min
Let dough rest for 12+ hours (cover with a towel)
Punch dough down & let it rest again (4 hours)
Place Louie (aka dutch oven) in the oven & set it to 450F
After 30 minutes, remove Louie from the oven
Reduce the oven temp to 430F
Place the sourdough inside Louie & cover with the lid
Put Louie back in the oven for 25 minutes
Remove the lid after 25 min & bake another 25 min.
Remove from the oven & let rest for 3 hours (if you can)
