Recipe of the day – Dhokla!
Ingredients
For Batter:
Gram flour(1 cup)
Semolina(1 tbsp)
Lemon Squeezed(1 tsp)
Curd(1/4 Cup)
Oil(1 tsp for greasing)
Salt(0.5 tsp)
Water(3/4 cup)
For Tempering:
Oil(2 tbsp)
Curry leaves(15)
Mustard seeds(0.5 tsp)
Cumin seeds(0.5 tsp)
Green chilles slit (4)
Grated fresh coconut(1 tbsp)
Chopped coriander leaves(1 tbsp)
Water(1/3 cup)
Method
1. Add all the batter ingredients in a bowl and mix them properly into a smooth batter.
2. Pour 2 cups of water in steamer heated for 5 minutes.
3. Grease the plate/bowl with oil. Pour batter into the greased plate, place it in steamer for 15 to 20 minuts over medium flame.
4. Heat oil in a pan for tempering add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and all other ingredients bring it to boil, pour it on dhokla and toss gently to coat.
