Pickled Vegetables.



Pickled Vegetables.
Ingredients:
For the syrup-
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
1 tsp mustard seeds ( rai)
1 tsp black peppercorns
1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup vinegar
For the veggies-
1 medium carrot cut into 2” long pieces
1 medium cucumber cut into 1/2” rounds
1 cup heaped cauliflower, cut into florets
Method:
In a pan add all the ingredients for the syrup and bring it to a boil. Add all the uncooked veggies into a heatproof glass jar with a lid. Now pour the boiled syrup over the veggies. Stir it around a bit and then press the veggies so that they submerg into the syrup. Let it reach room temperature, then close the lid and refrigerate it overnight or a minimum of 4 hours. Enjoy:))
Ps- you could make this with a variety of vegetables like- radish, onions, French beans, cabbage…,
