All purpose flour- 2cups
Salt -1tsp
Sugar- 1 tsp
Butter unsalted- 2 tbsp or oil
Lukewarm Water- 1 cup
Instant active dry yeast- 1and 1/2 tsp

Activate the yeast by adding sugar and yeast in the water. Stir well and keep aside (15-20 mins). Stir in between to keep the yeast rising.

Mix the dry ingredients flour and salt together in a mixing bowl. Now add the yeast mix and roughly knead it into a dough. Now add the butter/oil and incorporate it well. If the dough is not soft add water as needed. The dough should be soft and sticky to touch.

Knead the dough well to activate the gluten and incorporate all the ingredients well. Rest the dough in a warm place for 2 hours.

After 2 hours, beat the dough with light hands. Divide the dough into 9 equal parts and shape them into balls. Meanwhile grease a pan with oil. Set the dough balls in the pan with little space between them. Cover it and let it rest for 90 mins (proofing) until they rise to maximum. This may vary depending upon the temperature of the surrounding area. Preheat your oven to 400 degree Fahrenheit. Warm 50ml milk in a bowl to brush the dough balls.
Bake for 13-15 mins longer depending on your preference.

Once you take the tray out of the oven brush the pav with some melted butter and let it cool completely on a cooling rack.
