Butter Garlic Prawns


▪︎1-2 Tbsp oil
▪︎2-3 Tbsp butter
▪︎25 medium sized or 400 grams prawns, cleaned and deveined
▪︎3 Tbsp finely chopped garlic cloves
▪︎Salt as per taste
▪︎1/2 Tsp freshly ground black pepper
▪︎Chilli flakes, as required
▪︎3 Tbsp finely chopped coriander/parsley
▪︎2 Tbsp lemon juice
▪︎1/2 Tsp corn starch and 2 Tbsp water for slurry
▪︎2-3 Tbsp water


▪︎Heat the oil in a shallow pan and add prawns to it. Keep the flame medium-high.
▪︎Toss the prawns well for a couple of minutes and add salt.
▪︎Add the garlic and keep tossing the prawns for another minute.
▪︎Add in the butter and let it melt in the pan.
▪︎Now add in the coriander/parsley and toss again.
▪︎Add 2-3 Tbsp of water and let the prawns poach for about a minute. At this point, turn up the flame to high.
▪︎Add in the chilli flakes and the black pepper and toss it.
▪︎Mix the corn starch and water into a slurry and add it to the pan.
▪︎Squeeze in the lemon juice and mix well.

You’re all done and ready to serve. We found that it goes well with garlic bread/toast.
