Butter and Vanilla Cake! ?

I got quite a few DMs on this cake when I posted it on my stories last week. This is a plain butter and vanilla cake which was a crowd pleaser.

• 250g butter softened
• 3/4 cup caster sugar
• 2 tsp vanilla extract
• 3 eggs
• 2 1/4 cup self raising flour, sifted
• 3/4 milk (I used almond milk)

1. Beat your butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

2. Add your vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, until all combined.

3. Add your self raising flour and milk in two batches and fold until combined.

4. Place in a 20cm square tin and bake at 160° for 50-60 minutes, until golden.

5. Let the cake cool in pan for 5 minutes and then turn it upside down on a wired rack to cool completely and dust with icing sugar.
