best dinner I’ve whipped up in a while thanks to that mid-Sunday snooze 😴
I literally dreamt this up in my sleep, woke up and immediately went to Trader Joe’s lol
This was my first time preparing whole portobello mushrooms, but they came out AMAZING. We will definitely be adding this style shroomie into the dinner rotation
𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 ‘𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐬’
🧄 4 portobello mushrooms
🧄 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
🧄 1 tbsp olive oil
🧄 1 tbsp soy sauce
🧄 1 tbsp fresh rosemary
🧄 1 tsp garlic powder
🧄 1/2 tsp black pepper
🧄 dash of cayenne pepper
1. Clean your mushrooms, remove stem if needed.
2. Make marinade by combining all of the ingredients above into a large but shallow bowl or baking dish
3. Add the mushrooms. Let sit for atleast 5 minutes in marinade and then flip. Let sit for another 5 min. The longer you leave them marinading, the tastier they will be (don’t leave longer than 30 minutes)
6. Heat up large skillet/pan with olive oil. Transfer mushrooms to pan, letting all excess marinade drip off first. Cook for 3-4 minutes then flip. Cook for another 3-4.
I paired mine with mashed potatoes (make them vegan by using almond milk and hold the butter) plus asparagus!!
