ᴄʜɪʟʟɪ ᴏɪʟ ???

Ever since I discovered hot chilli oil I’ve been hooked! It makes noodles, dumplings and even some soups taste beyond incredible! The best part is that it’s really easy to make ???‍♀️

Ingredients:

2 inch cinnamon stick
1 bay leaf
1 tbsp Sichuan pepper (if you don’t have it use cumin seeds instead or you can just skip this one if you want)
2 cloves
2 cardamom pods
1 cup vegetable oil
6 tbsp sesame oil

Ingredients to place in a heat resistant bowl:
3 tbsp red chilli flakes
2 tbsp red chilli powder
1 tsp salt
Half cup of chopped scallions
2 tbsp ground ginger
3 tbsp ground garlic

Toast the bay leaf, cloves, cardomom pods, Sichuan pepper, in a pot till the spices become fragrant, pour the vegetable oil and sesame oil to the pan and heat the oil on a medium flame till it begins to smoke( make sure the spices aren’t burnt since it’ll result in a subpar oil)
Through a strainer pour the oil on top of the ingredients in the bowl and let everything sizzle, stir the mixture too a bit. Once it cools down store it in a air tight jar for up to 6 months ✨
